It's local to me and seems underpriced -- right?

Apparently too good to be true. The ad is still running, but no response at all from the seller.

Great deal if you can connect with the seller. ASSuming the pics and history are good. It's a Cali car so you can look at miles via smog history. Through '88 they still had mechanical odometer with the fragile drive gear. Interior condition is pretty consistent with the miles though. Those are Design 90 option wheels starting a couple years later.
The TLC list includes some intake care including the hoses underneath and probably injectors after sitting so long. Coolant condition is important too. Lots to think about, but from appearances/pics anyway it's certainly worth a look.

Thanks. Sadly, no response from the 'seller' despite multiple efforts, so looks like this one is not going to happen. If I end up getting a car from this era, I'd likely refresh lots of that anyway, so a 50k car for that price seemed like a no brainer -- but it looks like the hunt goes on.dr bob wrote: Thu Oct 20, 2022 7:02 pm Great deal if you can connect with the seller. As for the odometer gear, I have that covered many times over. I designed our own Carpokes version of the 944 gear, which some of the 928's use as well. When I order the fancy resin to make these, I made probably 100 gears since the resin had to be used within a month or so before it expired... I guess they varied by year, but have printer/will travel.

If it is indeed under-priced (and I'm inclined to think it is), perhaps the seller will respond to an email that includes a 'better' offer.Tom wrote: Tue Oct 11, 2022 8:58 pm It's local to me and seems underpriced -- right?
