I miss that car, but of course, there had to be more adventures, so I started to think about what I would do with the 991RS...

More great stories, pictures and adventures. You have experienced race-oriented travels and events (and people in the sport) far more than I could imagine. Amazing! And you've also kept details and one-of-a-kind photographs of those memories for many years too.
I sincerely appreciate your sharing some of that here as it helped me to better know what some of that must be like.

Thanks again!

One thing I forgot to mention is the difference between a 997.1 and a 997.2 RS.
The biggest difference is downforce and you can feel it on a track.
I went round a sharp blind righthander in the rain on the Ring and immediately saw a car facing me that had spun out. I managed to get round him by about the depth of the paint, no damage. If it had been the 7.1 I would definitely have hit him. The 7.1 has no stability control, but more that that is more twitchy in the wet. I managed a full spin at Spa,luckily no damage, but over the years I have heard to respect the 7.1.
The cars are otherwise more similar than different, and both are ablest to drive. Very different to the 991/992. Some of those experiences will follow.
