Or perhaps (also because we're concerned with German auto technology) one should be confronted by "Bist du ein Mensch oder ein Übermensch?", LoL! The correct response would then be a line from Spike Milligans famed WW2 ballad, "Ja vee ist ein Superman, ein Super-Dooper Superman." Gluck aufs!

“ Well, if you’re in business these days and don’t invoke the term “generative AI” every third sentence, HR will write you up on the spot. ”.

I just have to give kuddos to this one line which made me laugh at loud at work. Hits close to home!

bravo

 Glad it hit home. That was one of my more 'serious' cover notes, so was trying to find ways to make it a little more light and entertaining. It was prompted by dinner with a 30-something couple in the meat of their careers, one of whom works for an boutique online retailer. She was complaining that her VC board needs to hear AI in every presentation or they think management is archaic and out-dated. As she said, if we really need AI that badly for mundane tasks, maybe we all just need more I.

For those of us who grew up with Whois, Archie, etc as pre-WWW search tools, and eventually AltaVista for the early plain-language web searches, "modern" stuff is impressive. Not so much for capability as for total bandwidth. I can 'search' for relatively-current' (last 15 mins) news subjects and see credible results. I think a lot of that has to do with Google owning and managing an impressive number of regional hubs and gateways, especially the major US hubs for international traffic. I'm sure that all my unencrypted traffic is safe from prying regurgitive AI eyes...
