Update:

So my 2.7 case is back from the machine shop. Pinned, line bored, bypass, and a few other original issues. I have purchased a new set of pistons and cylinders. I went with a RS style flat top to gain a bit of room (valves) so I'll have a better cam selection available. New PMO carbs. I had the heads worked done locally and sent the guy my intake to see if he could match them up to my heads. Things are moving along...... slowly.

Jack,

I made them utilizing Borla Intercooled Exhaust Tip 20104.

Thanks for the "tip"
I have the same Dansk twin exhaust on my 911 and is a bit reluctant to shorten it as the sound is so good as is.
Any comment ?
Jack

Jack,

While the old motor sounded great on this exhaust, I expect a much better sound from the 2.7 RS motor I am building.
Looking forward to that in the next couple months as this motor goes back together.

I haven't posted in a few months. You really need patience while working thru a complete rebuild and upgraded classic Porsche engine. The case went out, so did the heads, crank, carbs and a few other Items. You have to clean, organize and wait. Well after thousands and thousands of dollars spent the case in now sealed. A fully balance crank and rods with an upgraded oil pump and new bearings plus a case upgrade and coating. This should be wicked.
