Front Spoiler Scraping

No matter how carefully I enter or exit driveways, I still manage to scrape the front spoiler, especially on the sides. I stumbled across this company that sells OEM 991 spoilers, with adapters, for our 718’s. I like the look better than the 718 spoiler and it provides more ground clearance.

The guy I bought my ducktail off of has had one for over a year on his CS. He seems pretty happy with it. Looks great. I think it definitely needs the corners as well as the center spoiler, as pictured to “finish” the look (3 pcs total).

Based on a quick glance at their website, the product looks good - it's clean. It also has an aura of being well-made, admittedly not a very scientific observation on my part. Nevertheless, it's a site worth saving. I've found that many of the smaller, entrepreneurial type businesses like this to be focused on quality and functionality. Let us know how it turns out if you end up trying out one of their spoilers.

My neighbor has a 991.2. I’m going to look at his spoiler to see if it looks exactly like the website’s spoiler. From the photo, it looks like it sticks out further but has more ground clearance on the sides where I tend to scrape.

That spoiler looks good to me -- very factory looking.

Apologies if this is old news, but when I bought my first Porsche, the guy who sold it to me gave me a bunch of 'tips" to make sure I took care of this car. One was not to ride the clutch at stop lights, and the other was to show me (in endless detail) how to approach curbs on an angle to avoid scraping the front. Circumstances don't always allow it, but you can definitely minimize scrapes if you are aware and consistently try.

Here's a video I found on the topic since, it seems, there is a YouTube on anything you can think of. This may be obvious and old news to folks here, but worth posting if it saves a single spoiler.

It's absolutely the only way in and out of my driveway to avoid incurring a slight scrape in my GT4 (no FAL by choice). Didn't look at the YouTube video you supplied, but if it's done like me, it's also at a very, very slow crawl with as big of an angle as I can get. Entering the driveway is much easier than exiting to the street. More room for a bigger angle. (Our street is wide and no traffic.)

That looks pretty cool, my original front spoiler is getting a bit ragged, I think I'll order this as a late Christmas present to myself. Thanks for the link.

In selecting options to order I find it doesn't list the GTS/GT4, will the S orcT model fit?
