Installing leather covered sports chrono enclosure

My 718’s dash is all leather with the exception of the sports chrono / center speaker enclosure and the windshield vents. I recently purchased a leather sports chrono enclosure but I can’t find any written installation instructions or DIY videos.

If anyone has installed this piece, or even removed their enclosure to change the gauge face, removal and installation hints are greatly appreciated. Paging @JetFuelOnly and @Bob Z for advise as well.

No idea Larry but I found this video for doing the exact same leather swap on a 911 and I'd bet that the process is fairly similar.

The section regarding the sports chrono cover starts around the 6:30 mark. Note that I only skimmed looking for the part that pertains to what you want to do. I didn't watch the process so no idea how thorough it is but the guy seems legit. He has 15k subscribers.

I'll look some more later. It seems there should be someone who has done this and posted a video and/or a guide about it. Another thought is that you could maybe get some advice from a tech at the dealership.
