83 944 hatch seal replacement

Hi Gang,

I'm finally replacing my hatch seal on my 93 944. When I look at the seal sold on Pelican, it's different than what I have on my 83. Where the seal goes over the panel seams, I have some sort of covering/moulding and the seal that's on my hatch is glued to that covering. Has anyone seen this before? I like the covering/moulding, but the Porsch seal will not fit over it so I'd have to remove it.

Hi Gang,

I think I answered my own question. I was thinking the seal was separate from the covering/moulding when in fact it is one piece. The seal on my 944 is so old (probably original to the car 40 years old now) the seal was separating from the moulding piece making me think they were two pieces. I've just ordered one from Pelican.
