I have a 2009 Boxster S PDK that is my track car (TT). Car is stock except for suspension and tires (Nittos NTO1s) and racing seats with 5 point harness . Does anybody have feed back about IDP plenum and GT3 throttle body up grade? Is it worth the expenditure, about $1500?
Thanks
IPD plenum and GT3 throttle body

Not worth the money at all… hp is minimal to nothing at all.. sounds better, but that’s about it.. I had one on my 996TT and and that was noticeable but it has 2 turbos… Porsche N/A motors don’t leave much for improvement unless you build the motor and get cams/lift and bored out cylinders

There are various dyno runs with these (flat 6 performance?) and there was basically no gain. Open air filters, samething.. the Oem air box works better because it’s sealed off from the motor heat soak

I had my plenum, throttle body, and exhaust done on my Cayman S about two months ago, along with a software remap. I find the car much happier at the bottom end, and it pulls strong. I would absolutely do it again.
As to the value, it depends on your financial situation. If you have a healthy account, go do it. If you have to borrow the money, enjoy the car the way you have it.

You're better off looking at the exhaust side of the equation. A tune can certainly extract noticeable hp for around the same cost as the IP/TB upgrade.

Exhaust should always be the first thing you do for an NA hp gain…. The plenum won’t help much unless the manifold also is improved. Porsche don’t leave much on the table for improvement… turbo cars, not the case and much easier to make 150hp more.. i babe a plenum and didn’t notice anything but a louder intake note

New here and this is very late but I’d suggest calling Soul Performance and asking them about mods. As another poster said not much you can do but Soul works with Softronics tuning and they say headers, exhaust and stage two tune nets about 360-370 chp. This is the same engine as base ‘13 Carrera except for 5mm milder intake cam and shorter intake runners . Tune is different of course but other than that you’re looking at long block work for more power.

I've put it on an 06 987 Boxster base. It made a difference. The acceleration is more like the S now. That's with a remap, Fab speed x pipe, and opened intake vent on driver's side. Thinking of the Fab speed headers and 200 cell cats but they're expensive and louder. For only 10hp? Car has 117K on it so I'm not sure if it's worth it since the car runs like new. Comments?
I have been considering installing an IPD plenum along with the GT3 plenum along with Dundon intake runners on my 987.2. I have talked to Scott from Softronics and he recommended it with my current modifications which include Fabspeed long tube catless headers, Fabspeed SuperCup exhaust, Evolution Motorsports V-Flow system, underdrive pulley, and Softronics tune.
